This is an awesome secret, OP :)

YANA, OP. This show means more to me than I can explain and I'm 36. It doesn't matter how old someone is, we like what we like. To find solace and strength in the things we like is a wonderful thing we should be proud of, not keep a secret.

I am an adult, I should know how to better manage my feelings to have a productive outcome.

You DO know how to manage your feelings: you do so by watching Avatar. Props, OP - you have worked out adult solutions to your problems, and you get to watch good television at the same time. You rock!

Came here to say this.

"Managing your feelings" isn't "coping with them a specific way", it's "making sure you don't do stupid shit because of them", regardless of how you achieve that.

When I'm miserable I watch Power Rangers Turbo. If it makes you happy that's what matters.

I think it's wondeful, OP. No matter what it is that calms you down, the fact is: you've calmed down. And that's worth someting!

What better way than with A:TLA, too. Aang inspires me to be a better person all of the time!

Hey, no worries, OP. It's never occurred to me to be The Thing I Do when life is too much, but there've been times whenever coming home and finding my roomies watching Avatar in the living room has made a terrible day wonderful. It's a great show.

I'm pretty much like Zuko when I get angry.

Some people just turn on the tv to whatever's on and munch angrily on popcorn or ice cream to calm down. You do so with an awesome show. :)
