Question about fan fic sites,

[personal profile] tasogare_n_hime 2013-04-04 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Like AO3, and FF.net. I know FF.net doesn't have a place to post plot bunnies that isn't going to vanish after a while. I really wish they did. I come up with a lot of plot bunnies and have no where to post them that people who care might notice. Does AO3 have anything like that? I don't want to just post plot bunnies like a fic.

Not to my knowledge, no. But you can post plot bunnies on tumblr and tag them accordingly, or on anon memes if you want someone to write them.

I post plot bunnies on tumbler all the time, and in a few fandom specific comms. I think the problem is I'm in small fandoms, and other people really aren't interested in writing for them. I was hoping at least on a fic site there might be some writers interested.

Plot bunnies on AO3 can only be posted as a fic and tagged as plot bunnies :(

This really depends on the fandom for ffnet. I'd recommend heading to the forum search there if you haven't already (not saying you haven't, but since the second most popular HP forum has a place for plot bunnies, I thought I should mention ffnet's not totally hopeless for that).

Otherwise... Prompting memes, I guess? You could even start your own?

The problem with the forums at FF.net is post in them tend to be erased after a while, unless something about that has changed. I've given up on those.

when I was in Harry Potter I left a lot of plot bunnies on a forum, but I'm not that into HP anymore, and my current fandoms are too small to really get much attention. No one ever picks my promts at memes either.

As far as I'm aware that mass post removal only happened once and there's been no threat of a repeat, but I might have simply missed something... However, it is still far from an ideal system - in the big fandoms new forums get lost; in the small ones fewer people will come. Either way, it can be hard to get traffic outside of an already popular forum there.

I'm sorry I can't be of any help. :/ I hope you find somewhere soon!!
