Exactly this. There was absolutely NO reason for her to be taking potshots at "zombies" all the way back near the treeline, when other members of the group were already moving in with melee weapons to avoid (a) the sound of gunshots, which draw more zombies, and (b) wasting ammunition needlessly. She just wanted to prove how badass she was, and nearly killed one of the most valuable members of the group in doing so.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-05 01:37 am (UTC)(link)Andrea wanted that level of respect. She wanted to be seen as a big shot. It was no different than young Carl throwing stones at the trapped zombie. Both of them childishly trying to make themselves look big and important, and both doing more harm than good. She just didn't want to put in the hard work to get it the slow way.
Andrea didn't want to be down with those she didn't think deserved respect (she was real judgmental, as much as Lori even) which were mostly the other women. And T-Dog. And T-Dog and Carol were slowly gaining respect, mainly by doing hard work that needed doing, but that wasn't the glamorous gun-slinging so that wasn't good enough for Andrea. She wanted to go from zero to hero in one step. Just like young Carl.
She was a grown ass woman acting like a child.
