My sister and I ship the same incest pairing, and talk frequently about it. There's nothing weird about it, acting it out ourselves has never once crossed our minds, gfdi I'm tired of this secret.

I ship it! (Peter/Susan, not OP and their sibling.) I've never talked about fandom with my brother, but he doesn't know what fandom is (and I def won't be the one informing him about it).

Still...as long as things are fine between you two, that's good. I don't see the point in judging.

Short answer: it doesn't, but some morons think it does.

Long answer: There is some old incest-hate wank that gets dredged up every now and then. The basic gist of it is that if you ship incest, you either don't have siblings (or else you'd find it creepy) or you have latent desires to fuck your siblings (because apparently what you like in fiction dictates your desires in real life).

It is a stupid-as-fuck "argument" made by people who can't just ship and let ship, and feel the need to shame everybody else out of shipping anything they find "creepy."

I personally would hate for my family to know I ship incest pairings, but that's only because they wouldn't understand it. If they would, then so what? It's cool you and your sis can talk about this stuff. :)
