1. Agreed. Dr. Cid was pretty much the only character I gave a shit about.

13. We're not that bad. Alright, we're pretty bad sometimes. Seriously though, I skipped around in the anime (only because I find the manga usually a lot more enjoyable), I didn't touch filler and I joined relatively late in the series' progress, and still the fandom wasn't that scary to me. It was after I dug around in it for a long while that I realized how truly terrifying it is for reasons other than elitism. So uh. Actually, I don't know where I was going with this. Basically, it's more lighthearted than you think (it's a series about retarded gay ninjas and I think on some level fandom realizes this and can't take itself too seriously) but it's also extremely frustrating in that way that big fandoms inevitably hurt the brain sometimes.

15. Holy shit iawts. Nausicaa movie is a nice adaptation, but the comics were brilliant.

28. Why ... should the community service your needs specifically? Most of the time I have no idea what a lot of the secrets are referring to, but I deal, because I don't expect people I don't even know to all the time make things just to please me. Because that's insane. Make an offshoot non-anime community, maybe? Something constructive? Instead of griping at people for liking what they like?
