Didn't she cheat on him with this guy?

(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
That's why she's so awesome. If he'd cheated on her I suppose he'd just be a dick.

Eh, she probably wasn't even dating Rob, and it was just being kept on for the publicity.

Not OP.

I think you mean, 'Rob can do better than Kristen, the talentless hack.'

Also, why do you respect someone who cheated with a married man?

I think what the OP is trying to say is that she admires how Kristen handled the resulting scandal. I go out of my way to avoid any and everything related to Twilight and I was still bombarded with the whole Kirsten/Rob split thing. And it was all incredibly negative for her. I mean, she wasn't just being called out for cheating (while the man with a wife and family, who was just as active a participant, as well as being in a position of power over her), she was being bullied and verbally abused, and she still came out on top. Hell, I respect her for the grace with which she handled it. And I don't think she's talentless (watch Speak, it is sooo good!) but she has made a lot of poor decisions lately (Twilight, coughcough).

as well as being in a position of power over her

IA with the rest of your comment, but I disagree with this. She's a pretty big-name actress with a lot of star power right now. I hardly think she's in a position where she can be coerced by some random no-name director with implied threats or quid-pro-quo or anything.

Oh, he's the scum of the earth as well. I'm not letting him off the hook either. But I have yet to see any evidence of grace from Stewart. I have, however, seen pictures of her flipping off paparazzi.

I'll admit that YMMV on her talent. I did see her in 'Fierce People' and she was somewhat more tolerable there than in Twilight.

I really don't get the F!S trend of calling people doormats or putting down people/characters who have been treated like shit by someone else.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Infidelity gains your respect? You are odd.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I understand that you think she can do better, but is that a good reason to cheat on someone? Is there ever a good reason? Besides, admiring someone because she cheated on her boyfriend with a married man... what? really?

By cheating on him she was actually cheating on the patriarchy

I gain more respect for her every time I'm reminded that this almost ruined her career, but other celebrities are allowed to get away with abusing their significant others with no harm to their careers.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
While cheating with a married man is not exactly the epitome of good behavior, the onus is still the married person's. They're the one that made the vows, not the unmarried party. I actually ended up feeling really sorry for her where I was pretty indifferent to her before.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
But she cheated on her boyfriend, which makes her at fault in that aspect 100%, by that logic.

She cheated on her boyfriend with a married guy. She's as to blame as he is. I don't particularly dislike her or the director but thinking someone can do better isn't really a good excuse for cheating.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
This. Both of them are at fault.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! Gotta say, you give your respect away pretty easily. Forget about Time magazine's "Person of the Year," I'd love to see a few year's worth of your picks.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! Gotta say, you're sounding like an asspained twat.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, she said she wanted to be fucked over because she was so bored with her easy life. The cheating scandal backlash is probably the best thing that has ever happened to her.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I think she was pretty happy that people finally had a legit reason to dislike her. That way when she speaks of how hard her life is it'll be more genuine, and not just because "I'm rich and famous, waah."

I love Kristen Stewart regardless of everything.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not a fan, but I'm really surprised at how much hate she's getting, especially since she's so feminist... I'd always thought this side of the internet would like her more.
