I obviously can't say anything much on the subject, but I will say that I saw this post on Tumblr that said if you wouldn't have sex with the person you loved if they changed gender, then you love their genitals, not their actual selves. It confused me for a while. People can't help their preferences, right?

But...sex and love are two different things, yeah? You can love someone and no longer want to sleep with them. Cis-gendered couples deal with that all the time. It can hurt a relationship that was previously grounded in a strong sex life, sure, but it's not a sign that suddenly you never loved the person to begin with.

No, you're right. In couples where one partner transitions during the relationship, sometimes it doesn't change things, but sometimes it does. If it does, that doesn't mean the other partner never loved them.
