Anderson Cooper being gay is a well-kept secret from her. Even my dad, who is also non-supportive of gay rights, keeps that nugget of info to himself lest it sour her opinion of tv people.

I do think media helps humanize or open up the idea of relatability, but I certainly don't count on it.
