Re: I might be too old-fashioned for all this

With you 100 percent.

I find a lot of people are always quick to say that gender and sex are different things (usually followed by a string of exclamation points) whenever people call them out on biology, but then they never accept that some people are attracted to sexes -- and most people are referring to what they think somebody's sex is when they address them or talk about them.

Because nobody can see what's going on up in the head, where "gender" lives.

but you can always see their genitals!

Because the only biological difference between biological men and women are genitals.

And you can totally always tell someone is trans just by looking!

No.

you're right, of course. you can see someone's chromosomes and the structure of the cavity in their pelvic bone by looking at them also.

also hey, why has nobody in this thread mentioned that phalloplasty is a thing and trans men can have penises? trans women can have vaginas, too. (this is more for the OP than you but) if you're not attracted to trans people at all, EVER, there is no PC way to say this because it is not PC, it is transphobic :) ♥

Because it's a procedure with many complications that the majority of trans men won't go through in their lifetime, either because they can't afford it or because the end result is simply not worth it.

Metoidioplasty's more common, but to be quite frank, I wouldn't say the result passes for a biological penis in most cases.

YOU SHALL NOT PASS, EVERRRR

IT'S STILL A PENIS

if you only like men with penises that does not categorically exclude trans men, is what i am trying to say. unless you do not wanna fuck trans men ever, in which case you oughta just say that and accept the fact that this will piss some people off.
