Eh. Vegeta/Bulma will be my first OTP (and one of my fav) until the end of time. I have not read DBZ fic in probably 8 years. Is it still pretty awful?

God, I remember reading the epic 30k+ words DBZ fic back in the day that was all just training and sex. And self-insert super-amazing OCs what was with that fandom.

I remember one story by name still. "When Hell Freezes Over." Which I am fairly certain was the origin of the whole "Saiyans bond when they have sex [usually through a bite]."

...That always weirded me out, honestly. Biting? Are Saiyans vampires? Meh.

And seriously. After somebody bite, nobody ever mentions the unsanitary aspects of it, and it's never mentioned again. I don't know if anybody here's ever been bitten to the point of broken skin, but I have. That shit scabs, it hurts, and it's pretty god damn tender for a while.

Lol, DBZ fandom was what taught me how to be more discriminating with my fic selection. Before that, I would just read everything in order, as it was listed on fanfiction.net. And everything had the same shitty plot.

Since this was right before the NC-17 ban, it was also my intro to smut and slash.

DBZ fandom will forever hold a special place in my heart.
