TLK is actually "Kimba the WHITE Lion" stolen and remade by Disney.

It's pretty obvious if you just sit down and compare the two: http://robwrite.hubpages.com/hub/THE-LION-KING-Controversy-Did-Disney-Rip-off-Kimba-the-White-Lion

There's no way all that was coincidence.

Going even further back though, the Lion King is also a retelling of Shakespeare Hamlet. I'd love someone to try and say any of the characters in Hamlet were meant to be black.

And the guy who created Kimba was a huge disney fanboy and even got his career started by remaking disney's works into manga/anime. It went both ways.
