I would fail incredibly hard at being a companion, just sayin'. Like, I'd love to meet the Doctor, but only to hear him tell me stories about all the things he did, not to do those things with him.

Maybe he'd let me just hang around waiting in the TARDIS browsing through his massive library and his massive collection of awesome alien and historical artifacts and tinkering with all his cool rooms, waiting for him to come back from his adventure and tell me all about the amazing stuff he did and how he almost died and how many people he saved and all the evil empires he toppled while I was sitting around nice and safe and sipping hot cocoa.

I'm hopeless.

This is pretty much what I came here to say. I really, really want to see inside the TARDIS and to explore all its rooms and such, and I think hearing stories told by the Doctor could be cool. But I definitely wouldn't want to do all the scary stuff, and I'm not all that interested in travelling either. I've had this conversation so many times:

Everyone ever: But haven't you always wanted to travel?!?!
Me: Um... no? No, staying here is fine with me. I like the food and the weather and I can speak the language and am far less likely to get lost and so on.

I would be a really boring and useless companion. It's not for me at all. =(
