You mean like the original story? Of course they could have changed it up, but the situation is not comparable at all.

And I'm not saying it is. I just found it amusing that nursejoy said that a Disney movie made in the '90's and set in Africa wouldn't have had an all White cast, when that very thing happened. I'm not even saying it's wrong or right (for the record, I love Disney's Tarzan), I'm just saying it happened.

Although to be fair, he was left there. And I think that's true to the original?

I'm assuming if they did The Lion King with humans but still wanted it set in Africa, it would be about members of a native culture.

Is Disney-Tarzan white? I know his human parents were from somewhere else ambiguous, and possibly not in Africa, but I didn't think he was looked white.

Well, his parents were definitely white Englishmen, unless you're implying something about Tarzan's mom.

Not comparable.

Tarzan's parents were British people who were marooned there. Jane was the daughter of a british scientist who travelled there. It was not a story about the native population.

A better comparison would be Jungle book. And Mowgli looked the part for that region.
