Re: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

I love that dog! So far I've only seen him when I have a golden bone and he revives me. Oh, and when he was playing with that gem in the first mansion and you could watch him from the window in the garage (I think).

I don't have anyone to play multiplayer with, but it sounds really good. I might check with the Game Stop near my house and see if they have any group plays planned. That's usually the only way I can find other people to play DS/3DS games with.

OT, but I'm AtLA anon from yesterday that you gave those recs to. I have ordered "Princess Mononoke" and "My Neighbor Totoro" (not the Disney re-release) so far, and a co-worker is going to bring "Spirited Away" to work in two weeks for me to borrow.

That was totally the dog in the window :) He's the cutest.

You can play multiplayer online if you can with randoms. That's how I've been playing as I don't have any rl friends with LM:DM. That's a great idea! I have no idea if my GS does that or not. I should look into it. I hope you find a group!

Oh, heya again! I hope you enjoy them. If not, another sootyowl told you about them, haha (I'm starting to feel the pressure! *loosens collar*). I also don't have the Disney re-release of Totoro. I think the difference between them is that the re-release includes subtitles and a new dub track. I don't mind the old dub track tho.

I've had the wireless internet disabled on my 3DS for so long that I forgot online play was even an option. I feel so incredibly stupid right now *.*

No pressure! I watched clips on youtube of everything before ordering because...well, because that just makes sense to me LOL My expectations are based on the clips I saw and my gratitude is for you and your recommendations.

I sifted through thousands of comments about the Disney re-release of Totoro and of course saw many of the expected knee-jerk responses about an older thing being better than the new thing. But there were some lucid comments about the new dub track missing a lot of nuance. A lot of other people said it was a better release because of the visual remastering. I usually care more about characterization and plot, where nuance is often vital. Visuals don't mean quite as much to me so I thought I'd try the original dub first.

Lol. We all have moments like that. I know I've had my fair share!

Okay good. *Wipes sweat off brow* I do that as well. It does just makes sense, haha.

I haven't watched the new dub myself, so I can't comment on the nuances the voice acting has or doesn't have. I have seen old vs new remastering tho, and you can tell the difference. But as far as I can tell, the quality of the transfer doesn't change the message or meaning of the movie.
