(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 05:02 am (UTC)(link)Three wasn't much my style, so I don't have many recs for him...
Four has the longest run and so the most diversity, I guess. I like Robot, his introduction, in part because the spx are SO TERRIBLE they go out the other end of the cheese-spectrum and become spectacular. I love his relationship with Sarah-Jane ("This is Miss. Smith, she's my best friend!") so I hava a bias for their eps; I liked Pyramids of Mars and Seeds of Death and The Hand of Fear. I like City of Death, but it is a bit meander-y.
Five is an interesting little chap, again not entirely my cup of tea, but I have enjoyed what I've watched. I think Black Orchid is just a 2-ep serial, so easy to take in; The Five Doctors for the fun of seeing different incarnations interacting. I really like Turlough, that arrogant cowardly little twat, so I'm biased towards stories featuring him. (Five had a very full Tardis!) I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the Five audiobook 'Loups-Garoux'.
Six is not my style, although I like him in the context of the Doctor's overall evolution. I can't remember any episodes from him, sorry!
Seven you say you know, yay!
Eight just had the one tv-movie; it had some of the silly shakey aspects of any incarnation's first ep, but Paul McGann is lovely. His audiobooks are fantastic as well.
calapine@livejournal has posted some good rec lists; she's a classic Who watcher who also likes the new series. I was gonna rec you the tributes made for each Doctor by Babelcolour, but apparently they've all been privated. OTL
