Yeah. I love the Doctor and all, but his idea of a peaceful holiday involves at least three life-or-death events before breakfast, and usually a threatened planetary extinction before tea time. We won't even touch what he considers an actual adventure. I would smile politely, gush over all the cool things he'd like to show me, and then sidle out the door while he's distracted. There have got to be easier ways to explore the universe. I mean, even the Starfleet Enterprise was safer. Well, provided you stayed out of the holodecks, away from the transporters, and never touched anything you hadn't seen the command staff thoroughly handle first ...

Okay. So not that much safer. But least Starfleet lets you file insurance.
