Huh, interesting. Thanks for the heads up, anon. I appreciate it.

But, like, isn't that not completely accurate of wolf mating habits anyway? *Looks them up on Wikipedia* Yeeaaaahhh, it's not. Oh fandom. You're so cute.

Yeah, it's not indicative of wolf mating habits at all. A lot of people like to claim the whole a/b/o thing is, but while the terms are the same, the way they operate really aren't, lol.

I've heard that and I dipped my toes into the fic to see what it was about.

Yeeaaaahhhh no. They're nothing alike, really. Besides, the origin of a/b/o is based on some prompt from the Supernatural Kink Meme.

It's got a lot of the same tropes as d/s verse and soulbonding fic found in other fandoms prior to Supernatural, too. Some of it can be interesting, but a lot of it is pretty silly, and definitely not at all an analog for wolf mating habits, lol.

I get you. I've seen the similarities. And yeah, some of the fics I read were interesting. I'm actually one of those people who would actually read a/b/o if it had a plot about the inequalities or had a revolution or something. Which is apparently a common enough sentiment here, if I recall.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I've read a few that actually have some interesting world building and do focus on those things, but they're pretty few and far between. It does seem to be a pretty common sentiment here, too.

(I totally get why some people don't like it, too, since a lot of it is poorly written, has tropes like mpreg that a lot of people don't like, and the consent can be rather dubious and/or non-existent and tread into the whole rape-is-love territory.)

Duuuuude, anon, are we the same person? Because we're having the same thoughts. I'm not even joking.
