I heard about the HD versions of Kingdom Hearts handhelds. I haven't played any of them or the numbered titles. I tried. I just couldn't get into them.

You're welcome! As for the HD versions, I think it's nice that they're finally trying to gather all of them back onto one platform (the first two were PS2 with a mid-quel on the GBA; the rest since have been scattered everywhere) for players who might be interested--I personally am, but it's obviously fine if you and others aren't--but I would rather they finish their new projects first. I actually just used the portable one as an example since it was a good marker for time. <--the PSP one's already three years old now. OH, S-E.

Not that I'm pooh-poohing those or the X/X-2 one (I'm excited for X and a little surprised they added the sequel on), but if they have these hefty re-releases coming out before any of the games announced years ago, there's a problem.

Aww, don't put yourself down! I'm no big name here either.

I think that's good as well :) I am sure it is opening up a lot of doors for other people who don't own a bunch of systems. I know from my forum forays a lot of people want KH3 to happen.

Besides KH1, I have tried the demo for Dream Drop Distance and it was fun. However, I had no idea what was going on. I just wanted to play it for the TWENY references.

I like FFX, but I totally agree with you. They need more new releases than remakes and iPad games.

Completely agreed. It's just a shame all around, and I hope they can pull it out and handle their budget problems instead of blaming their Western games and the US market. (That seriously happened. I was a bit sour after hearing about it.)

I also saw you in the thread about tea in the post today! I felt excited and silly all at once since I recognized your cute owl icon.

They did? :( I know Tomb Raider didn't do as well as expected and Squares taking it as a pretty big blow. I hope they get their act together. I'd love to love games like FF like I used to.

They did! :c Worst of all was that Tomb Raider did excellently--by any other standards. I found the article where I first read the news (the header picture is Lara Croft looking a bit gory, in case you need the warning):

It's hard not to be disappointed by them (the silliest story I've heard has got to be one of their iOS games charging you money if you want instant Phoenix Downs--googling "FF All the Bravest" can probably bring up any video review that shows that) now, but I REALLY want them to start doing better. It's a bit paranoid, but I sometimes wonder if they'd end up like Sega, and that would just be sad.

I don't have a lot on this account since I'm lazy, so I'm glad people are enjoying them <3 I also didn't feel like jumping into the huge thread since I'm a bit shy, but maybe there will be a smaller one in the near future. I was also on my phone, and I'm too impatient to make decent replies on it, sadly.

Thanks! From reading the article, it seems that they did make money, they just didn't make back enough money to satisfy themselves. It sounds like the whole Disney scenario as they don't want to make 2D movies anymore (they made a load of money on The Princess and the Frog, but the millions they made didn't satisfy their thirst like their 3D movies).

I heard of that! I watched a review of it on Reviews on the Run and they mentioned paying for Phoenix Downs. That is definitely not a good move if they want to worm their selves back into gamer graces.

I hope they don't end up like Sega... but they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Still, I think they'd have to have a much greater fall for that to happen. There are still so many Square Enix fans.

I generally only use my owl icon on this site as I'm to lazy to change it, haha. No worries. I get shy too. I'm just more vocal now and days. (I'm still unsure of how that happened!)
