For me, it's not that I don't like him, it's just that I don't get it. Like, why is paired off with Clint all the time. As far as I can tell, in the entire cinematic universe they only ever exchange one or two lines. WTF?

TBH, and I say this as a mad shipper of them, I think it's just that a lot of fandom suddenly realized that the idea of two incredibly competent secret agent/assassins gettin' it on was kinda hot.

And yes, there's still Clint/Natasha. But you ALWAYS see the hot m/f secret agent couple.

Plus, well...the fandom kind of grew a mind of its own. It's sort of amazing, the way there's a shared fannon on the two, romantic or otherwise.
