This is coming from someone who has a bachelor's and a master's, but education isn't necessarily an indicative of someone's intelligence. I've met more than my share of dumbass academics. I obviously don't know you personally, but your comments here always seem to be thoughtful and I definitely wouldn't call you unintelligent based on what I've seen here.

I certainly don't want to look like I'm fishing for reassurance, so I probably should have clarified that I was leaning towards academics there. While I may feel I know my way around certain topics, I also feel there's a lot of value in the input from those who study said topics critically (eg: gender studies, queer history, film even, etc.) that I can't match until I carve out a chunk of a library and get better study habits ha.
