I sympathise, Anon. I have to keep reminding myself that I don't REALLY hate him, and that it's perverse to start hating him just because a large proportion of fans seem to adore him, or because Clint/Coulson is EVERYWERE and they were never even in the same SHOT and the fic is often not even LABELLED as containing that STUPID GODDAMN UBIQUITOUS PAIRING... ahem. I mean, in a purely abstract way I don't even think there's anything wrong with the pairing BUT WHY IS IT EVERYWHERE WHY WHYI just feel if I am reading one more fic about something else entirely and Coulson and Clint turn out to be married I am going to break something.

(And I thought the fanboying over Captain America was far more creepy and less cute than the film seemed to want me to. And I think it's gross that he was involved in stealing Jane's fucking work.)

I just don't want him to come back to life. I am pissed off that of all the characters Whedon killed, (particularly all the women) he brings back this one.
