I agree. Unexpected as it was (on my part) it still gave him slightly more character past the whole Crazy Genius Killer deal, in my eyes. Not to mention I found it hilarious.

I laughed so much at him acting all tough and just going "I pass *drops knives*" when he saw Hibari going at him. But yeah it certainly added some depth. And it means Bel isn't just a mad killer, but it shows he'll back out of fights he isn't certain of winning.
