I always thought Jo was amazing, so I'm glad you came to love her, too.

Jo was always awesome and totally lovable, but OMG she was so adorable in that episode. I mean, just that intro scene, every single word she said in that scene, her joy and loveliness and sincerity and calling the vulture thingies "beautiful" and Sarah Jane bursting into laughter and...and...just...just...<3 <3 <3 <3

Jo is great. I'd love for more of the Classic!Who companions to show up in New!Who. Come on, Doctor, visit 18th century Scotland, or Triton or where ever the heck Ace ended up (the show never told us). Please!!!

Ace apparently runs an organization called A Charitable Earth on Earth. :\

However, I once read a fic with the premise that Ace spent some time in space, got married to an alien woman, moved back to earth, and A Charitable Earth secretly helps refugee aliens assimilate into human society.

Oooh, I like that idea!

Yeah, there is the vague mention of Ace in that 'Sarah Jane' episode, but the show runners don't have to go with that canon if they don't want to. Or there could be the story of how Ace got back to Earth between the show and the movie too.

Jo isn't my favorite Classic Who companion, but I do like her a lot and I think "The Green Death" is one of the better Classic Who serials.

I was slightly indifferent about Jo at first in Classic Who. Then, without warning, I realized that I just loved the fuck outta her. So, I get where you're coming from. I was doubled over with squee when she was on Sarah Jane.

And I follow Katy Manning on Twitter, and everything that she tweets basically makes me think that the revamp of Jo was pretty much just her. She's always talking about how beautiful her followers are and how much she loves them.

Anyway, I dig you secret.

I used to dislike Jo on the grounds that she wasn't Liz Shaw, and that dislike lead me to skip right over her era. Her appearence on SJA completely turned me around and I love her now.

Glad it made you appreciate her more. She's my favourite companion. :)

I absolutely adore Jo. And it really grosses me out when people (like a certain SciFi Debris) says she sucks because "she was a bit thick" and therefore a step-down from Liz Shaw. Because women are automatically less if their a bit dumb. -_- Whereas Jamie was also rather thick but it's okay for blokes.

Jo was just adorable. And one of the few companions able to best the Master. She's definitely my favorite of Three's companions.

It warms my heart every time I remember her doing that speech in "Frontier in Space" to distract the Master while the Doctor sneaks out. Also, every time she does things. Jo is great. ♥

Yeah, I have always despised the sentiment that people who don't have the privilege and luck of having high intelligence -- a largely biological trait that they don't necessarily have control over -- are inferior. It's actually utterly disgusting.
