Cersei's a bad person. She's a bad person in canon, with plenty of terrible deeds to her name. There's no need to start making up new ones. That's like saying if you really hate a burger joint you should start talking about how terrible their sushi is. Stick to facts.

If Cersei was only concerned about Joffrey, and wasn't trying to be spiteful or punish the Stark children, all she had to do was tell him to not attack them with swords anymore.
