I feel for Cersei. It seems to me like she's spent her whole life doing fucked up things just trying harder and harder to get some attention. But nobody ever really gives her any feedback on anything she does, so she's never had any clue what the fuck is laudable behaviour, and what's horrific, and what's neither.

Then I remember how much suffering she's caused, and I feel bad for being so invested in her. But then I remember fandom's general apologism for villainous blokes if they're deemed sufficiently interesting, and I cut myself a big ol' helping of slack.
