(Anonymous) 2013-04-11 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)Believing that media depictions of the nonhuman identity you have claimed are wrong because they don't match your view of yourself: um, less fine, but still, whatever.
Believing that other people should change their depictions of the nonhuman identity you have claimed to match your idea of how that kind of nonhuman entity *really* is: get a damned life. A different one, because apparently the one you've got has reached its quota for stupid.
You don't get to say "I am a werewolf, and therefore any depiction of werewolves that doesn't feel like *me* is wrong." (Well, you get to say it. But it'd be awfully stupid to expect anyone to care.) The nature of werewolves and other lycanthropes has been established through lore, myth and possibly historyfor centuries; whether that lore is accurate or not, it's what we have to work with.
If your *personal experience* is that that's all wrong, please head off to a medical doctor, get yourself diagnosed with lycanthropy, and start giving press conferences about the noble and misunderstood werewolves. Otherwise, shut up and let the fic do its ficcing thing.
