He didn't used to bother me, but after that fucking Mishapocalypse I never want to see his face again. There's having fun and there's being obnoxious, and his fans aren't anywhere near the former.

Yeah, but c'mon. The whole 'Mishapocalypse' thing was in response to the whole Hate Misha Day thing. Which is worse? Being so petty and vocal in your hate that you spam a person (and coworkers and any related accounts) on Twitter with hate messages, or an overabundance of ridiculous - but good-natured - batshittery on Tumblr for a single day. Not to mention - the majority of people on tumblr were tagging like crazy so people could block shit if they didn't want to see it.

I don't know who you follow but absolutely no one on my dash tagged that shit. Honestly i would have been able to live with it if they did but the majority of stories I hear about tell me that very few people did tag.
I'm sorry for the hate Misha gets, that not right, but the misha love should have been kept within the fandom because now you've just given heaps more reasons for people to dislike him. Also the comments that it was 'so funny' on posts that were complaining about the spam, just made everything more annoying.

This is the first I've even heard of Hate Misha Day. And I agree, people should keep their hate to themselves. Definitely not cool.

But the response could've been, like, Love Misha Day or something instead of a bunch of nonsense that just made people who already hated him and his fans hate him more, and that made a lot of us who were previously neutral about him veer into hate territory. Like the other anon said, no one I saw was tagging. I tumblr saviored the shit out of every Misha-related thing I could think of, and it was still all I was seeing that day. It was the non-tagging and the overabundance that was the problem. If people had just changed their icons, I would've found it funny, even as a non-fan. A few ridiculous posts, no problem. But all day, everywhere, no escape from it batshittery was just frustrating and obnoxious.

Nobody except Misha fans knows about the 'Hate Misha' thing, but EVERYONE had to deal with Mishapocolypse.

You honestly think the best response to that hate is to annoy everyone, even people completely unrelated to the event, with spam?

Your just giving the haters another reason to hate, and annoying everyone else.
