I kind of hope that she will be Moriarty as well as Irene.

yeah not a fan of those

personally i'd prefer Adler as she was in the original stories (a one-off episode with no connection to Moriarty whatsoever)

or the mastermind of all the things

just not a dominatrix sometimes-lesbian-with-an-exception please

I'd love to have a version of Sherlock Holmes that:
1. Didn't have her (OR Moriarty) at all, or
2. Didn't turn her into a love interest for Sherlock.

I feel MUCH more strongly about the second one (it also seems more realistic). I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate this damn trope and it NEEDS TO DIE.
