The Mishapocalypse would have pissed me off enough if it were an isolated event, but it was just the latest and one of the most visibly annoying things in a long history of annoying fuckery from his fanbase. And even when he has nothing to do with it, he doesn't discourage the annoying behaviour of his fans, and for me that's a reason to dislike him. Honestly, fandom stuff aside, he seems like an interesting guy, and I don't really hate him. But his fanbase have made me hate everything that springs up around him.

Yes, because so many celebrities work to discourage the annoying behavior of their fans. How dare Misha fall short in this regard when so many others have set good examples in this area.

(And he actually has worked to discourage certain behaviors, such as trashing Sera Gamble when she was still a writer on the show and the whole sending feathers to the writers campaign.)

But I don't see a lot of other celebrities egging their fans on in the way that he does. Yes, many celebrities wouldn't make the effort to discourage annoying behaviour. But he has chosen to encourage his fans. They wouldn't get up to so much fuckery if he wasn't trolling around and approving of some of it. If he has discouraged some stuff, good for him! That's fantastic. Doesn't make me stop wishing he would do it more often.
