Oh my god, Tales of the Abyss secret! Even better, Jade/Guy secret! That was my hugest OTP for a really long time, I couldn't figure how it wasn't more popular. There was so much to work with! The number of times they ran off together, honestly.

I still don't understand why Guy x Jade is not more popular. They're scenes are great together.

Guy/Van shipper and I hear you on this. Tales in general is kind of one of those fandoms where if you don't ship the popular ships, you're not going to find a whole lot.

I think what baffles me the most is that there's canon nibbling and everybody's just like "oh it's just a ~mistranslation~" Like do you honestly believe an American company would leave something like that in a game if there were any other option? Any at all?

I love Jade. He is my favorite character from that series. I really don't mind him with anyone but you're right, I'm surprised Jade/Guy isn't more popular. They had great chemistry.

And yeah, as much as I love Jade/Luke I have never found a fic of them I thought was good.

My only problem is that there's a glitch in my game that won't let me do one side quest. So saaaaaaaddd.

That's so sad. Do you have the PS2 version? I haven't encountered any glitches in the 3ds version yet.

Yeah. I have the PS2 version. I am able to do every single side quest except the Jade and the Contamination Effect side quest. The damn Cheagle never shows up in Sheriden no matter what I do.

man i shipped jade with eeeeeveryone (seriously, even with his sister). though i agree totally that jade/guy should have been more popular, they were totally the dad and mom of the whole group and their chemistry was amazeballs hahaha.

did you ever read the jade/guy fics written by an lj user by the username sinestrated (but I don't know if they use that handle anymore because it has literally been years but I remember them being quite good, even if I didn't ship it)

Really? Jade/Dist is a 'big pairing'? 'cuz aside from the stuff I do, it feels like it's always either Jade/Peony, Jade/Luke, or Jade/Guy.
