Wait...are you for real? Those clickable pokemon things are an actual thing? I thought they were just sprites to download and like...share with other people.

Oh no, idk about the Pokemon, I don't play. I was just talking about dragons! Sorry.

The pokemon aren't really "clickables" in the sense that clicking doesn't do anything; we get points just from people seeing them. And every day, we can redeem the "views" for site/game money, which is important because money is slow to come by.

Oh, is that what VDexProject's system is about?

The GPXPlus pokemon actually do allow clickthroughs (where you can nurture eggs/pokemon by warming or feeding them, respectively), so I was a little confused by the other pokemon clickies that just went to peoples' trainer cards.

The pokemon ones (vdex project and gpxplus) are actual sprite-based games. Vdex project views give you money that you can buy pokeballs with to catch pokemon with different sprites (gen 1, gen 2, etc.) For gpxplus, views gives pokemon exp so you can level up and unlock achievements and stuff. You get money on gpxplus by clicking other people's pokemon.

So we don't have to click on the pokemon? I'm confused what view means here. When I click on a pokemon I get redirected to some other site, but that also happens when I click on a dragon?

As far as the dragons go, they grow up from exposure (views and clicks). Clicks help, but views are the main helper, which they get from someone simply looking at this page on DW (or anywhere else you put the code).

(I was actually confused on this for A WHOLE DAMN WEEK before the process clicked, haha. :U)

Views help the critters grow, so you're helping people just by looking at this page. For some of the sites, like the dragons, clicking gives them an extra boost in addition to what they get from your view.

One of the pokemon sites makes the nurturing a bit more roleplay-ish and interactive if you click through by letting you choose berries to feed them.

By "view" it helps to just load the image of the creature. The dragons can grow on their own without any clicks, so viewing helps them without you having to do anything more to them. The Pokemon depends on the site they're from. If they're from VDex, viewing is what counts for them. If they're from GPX+, then clicking on them, going to the different site, and interacting with them helps them to grow. Viewing them also helps them to grow, but GPX+ Pokemon get the better growth from being interacted with. (If I remember correctly. It's been a long time since I looked up anything to do with GPX+.)

So for the Pokemon, it just depends on how helpful you want to be with them. But just coming to the clickables thread and looking at all the cute creatures helps.

Dragcave eggs gain "exp*" when they get views. Gpxplus pokemon gain exp when they get views. Vdex parties get views when you load pictures of the party. Dragcave and gpxplus views make pokemon and eggs grow. Vdex views get you money.

In addition, dragcave eggs gain more "exp" (hatch and mature faster) when they get clicks. Gpxplus eggs get more exp when they get clicks. Gpxplus pokemon get more exp when they are fed berries, but feeding them the right berry is even better. Because gpxplus pokemon can change quickly like eggs hatching every five minutes, people usually link to their parties instead of their pokemon and you gotta click on their party to get to the pokemon page.

Afaik vdex parties don't gain anything extra by viewing user profiles.

*Dragcave uses a complicated system of clicks, views, unique views, and how old an egg is. That's why the "exp" is in quotes.
