Actually I think The Last Unicorn. Now hear me out, it's a beautiful movie - but the witch scared the shit out of me. I didn't watch it until much much later and only because people kept talking about how wonderful it was. Skipped the witch.

I was obsessed with that movie as a kid (and am still very fond of it), but I can totally see where you're coming from. For some reason Mommy Fortuna never freaked me out, but I remember being kind of horrified when the harpy ate her. That whole scene is pretty intense when you're a kid.

I always found that movie really heavy and depressing as a kid. I love the movie, but it's just never been a very happy movie memory.

No, not really. I mean the red bull was scary, but not to a point that made me genuinely uncomfortable and the skeleton didn't bother me.

It was the Red Bull for me. I watched it once when I was a kid, but refused to ever ever EVER watch it again because of the bull. I finally broke down and watched it again years later, and the bull didn't bother me.

The harpy on the other hand....She never scared me when I was little. I just thought she was ugly. Now I know what a harpy is and, having read the book, who that particular harpy is. She's way scarier now.

I was really disturbed when I re-watched the movie as an older teen and realized the harpy had three boobs, mostly because I have no idea how I missed that.

That movie gave me nightmares when I was little.

It was that scene with Mommy Fortuna and the vulture for me. That creeped me out. But I think the Red Bull and the skeleton creeped me more. I LOVED the movie, though, and I watched it many many times despite being creeped.
