Accomplishment dissonance

For what good is a B on a remedial chem test if everyone else aced the AP placement exam?

There are plenty of examples of this, I'm sure. Mine? I play MMOs. And I suck at them. I play with my friends. My friends are really good at them. And when you're a subpar player in the best guilds with the best players, anything you feel great about managing to do? Yeah, that's just going to be met with "but that's easy". And that's okay. That's okay, and I shouldn't feel all down about it. But dammit, I do. I felt great and now I just remember how awful I really am.

You need a better guild to play with. There are things in every game that some people will find easy while other struggle with. And honestly if a guild member comes out and says how happy or proud they are for finally accomplishing something, it doesn't matter what it is or how easy it was for anyone else, they should be proud and happy for their guildmate. Because you're not awful, and you should feel great!

This. The right response to someone saying 'I finally managed to...!' isn't 'But that's easy!' it's 'Congratz!'.
