not op, but i laughed at the word 'smackhead'. partly because it's such a 90's term, and partly because smoking pot =/= heroin addict

I don't know anything about her but she does look like she's on heroin to me too.

really? what about her makes you think she looks like a heroin user? she looks like a stoner, and as someone who gets a lot of tabloid/pap coverage, there are many unflattering photos of her out there. but none that made me think she was using hard drugs.

I don't read tabloids so I guess that's why I don't know about her. But we saw Snow White and the Huntsman and also lots of interviews and press for her around the time. The dark circles around her eyes, her usually stringy hair, and her slow response time when interacting with others are identical to all the heroin addicts lined up outside the methadone clinic I pass on the way to work everyday.

Or a typical surly teenager.

'junkie', or the more clinical 'heroin addict'.

isn't junkie general for drug addicts?

also, isn't junkie a much older term than smackhead?

She was always hot to me. She just can't act.

In interviews she also comes across as a pretty level-headed person.
I think she's hot as well. Just not in her movies.

Huh. In the interviews I've seen, she comes across as really awkward, semi-coherent pothead. Major secondhand embarrassment. :(

It's always come off to me like she was super disinterested in what was being asked, but I guess that can seem vaguely stoned. Small step above just being "rude".

I love that she looks bored even when she's being groped.

Right? LOL It's like she's incapable of expressing REAL emotion.

Man, I always found her sexy, but that's a particularly nice photo, to me.

I still don't believe this actually happened, probably did it for publicity. And I don't believe her and Rob are real either.

The guy, probably. But I can't see her doing it for publicity given the ridiculous amount of hate she has gotten.

The last thing a teen star wants to do is alienate her young fanbase by publicly cheating on her on and off screen marketed true love. You can argue that the rob thing is for publicity, but she'd have to be an absolute moron to think this would be profitable.

It put her name out there.
Some people think the best thing to happen to Kate Moss in a while is being caught taking cocaine.

Kristin Stewart's name was already out there, there's no way that alienating fans would be a good thing.

Her name was already "out there" thanks to an obscure movie franchise called "Twilight".

Kate Moss, on the other hand, makes her living in a field where you can be considered "too old" and washed up by the time you're 25. (And your competition is barely out of puberty.) The cocaine scandal at age 31 helped her, yes. Stewart didn't need that infamy boost.

Used to be it was "pics or it didn't happen" - now it's that it didn't happen because there's pics.

Surely there's some middle ground between "everything I see in Hollywood is 100% true" vs. "everything is faked for publicity."

Finally, if she did it for publicity, I think it is safe to say that she has suddenly discovered the difference between good and bad publicity. And yes, there is such a thing as bad publicity - just ask Tom Cruise or Lindsay Lohan (although yes, their PR disasters are due to entirely different causes).
