Today while driving home, I saw a yard sale sign with "ALOT FREE" and my first thought was, "Hey, free alot!"

So how's your day been?

Lousy. It's 4 am in the morning and I can't sleep at all. It sucks.

I took the ACT this morning. I have no energy to do anything.

I have an over abundance of emotions from watching the series finale of Spartacus today.

Besides that, ok.

Eh, it's been okay. I'm still sleepy because I went to bed at about 2 AM after watching the Spartacus finale and browsing tumblr for gifs and reaction posts.

I've been reading Tim Drake's Robin run and I'm almost finished with the Contagion story arc and by god am I glad about that. (Why does 11 issues feel never-ending?)

So quiet, but alright.

It's been okay. I've been reading comic books and mentally preparing myself for Dark Souls' Anor Londo.

My mom called me because we haven't talked in a week and she was worried. I feel bad for worrying her but it felt good to be reminded that someone loves me and worries about me.

I want to take a nap but I can't because my blankets are in the wash. Spent all morning grocery shopping.

I'm ok right now. Thursday was pretty shitty. Word got out that one of my friends from high school died. He was just such a kind, funny, and professional guy. I just can't believe he's gone. I last saw him about a year ago. I went over to another high school friend's house Thursday just so we could talk about it a bit and just not be alone with it that night. Just heartbreaking.

Stressed. My thesis defense is next week and despite being confident in my research, I still have this fear that someone is going to find some big gaping hole that I overlooked or that I won't be able to articulate my answers to questions properly. ~~I know that it's generally pretty hard to outright fail a defense, but PARANOIA.~~

I feel empty and as if my brain had been replaced with jello.

I'm also resentful of the people at my writer's workshop. They tore my story to shreds, but not because it was badly written (they actually agreed the prose was beautiful and all), but because... they didn't understood the words and themes I used ("Bastet", "semiotic", visualization/meditation as part of a ritual, the idea of an imagined world feeling "more real" than the real world). I was told I wrote "like that guy, Eco, who dumps so much info on you it's a damn hassle, you have to google what he said to get it" and I was "............ but Eco is an amazing writer, how is that something bad O_O" and they were like "well, it is a bad thing, you have to write things that are easier for us to understand".

Fuckers, it's not my fault your education is so damn lacking you don't even know who Bastet is (and I even explicit in the text that she's an egyptian Cat goddess, in case you didn't know, and you still don't get it?). I'm here to write fiction, not to spoon-feed it to you. Argh.

I've been ruminating this since it happened at midday and I'm still not over it. I feel so "bleh".

Tired. Wrung-out, since I had therapy today and still no solution on new meds. But I can smell dinner cooking so I'm okay for now.

Still waiting for my antidepressants to kick in. Luckily the side effects are really mild, but the actual effects probably won't show for another week, and until they do it's common to feel worse than before. I do. ~~A free alot would be very nice. I imagine I'd hug it.~~
