IN ONE WEEK: DETHSTREAM 420
The features I have chosen are:
STALKER (1979)
Andrei Tarkovsky's semi-obscure classic, envisioned as a (very loose) adaptation of Roadside Picnic, the award-winning novella by Soviet sci-fi writers Boris and Arkady Strugatsky.
Two men led by a third, living in a squalid, industrial city, sneak into a forgotten, sealed off zone overrun with natural vegetation and dotted with ruins and hazardous anomalies. At the center of the Zone is a place called the Room, said to be able to grant wishes.
Be ready for long panning shots and lots of metaphysical discussion! Bring your berets and snifters of brandy! Running time is 2 hours 43 minutes, but there will be an intermission.
Given the length of the first film I almost considered not showing a second feature, but I found something of relative brevity that might serve as a worthy counterpoint to the heady, thoughtful viewing that is Stalker.

Freaknik: The Musical (2010)
Freaknik was a spring break festival held in Atlanta, but it was shut down in the 1990s. Freaknik: The Musical is about the spirit of Freaknik coming back to host the seemingly long-forgotten event. You can probably guess where this is going.
This is the uncut version, so runtime is 91 minutes.
