This conservative nutjob writes a lot more compelling storylines than the writers of OUAT.

I've been reading Fables for 5 years. I gave up on OUAT in the first season. You have Regina and Belle to thank for that.

Opposite for me. OUAT has some stinkers (like the last August episode) but it's been one of the more consistently entertaining shows on a basic network imo.

You made a good choice in quitting during first season, because the second reaches levels of awful I didn't even know was possible. It's so incredibly unfocused, the characterization is all over the place...the whole thing is just one big mess. It's like the writers aren't even trying, or they're just making shit up as they go along. And Belle...omg, do not even get me started on her. The only redeeming quality that show has is Robert Caryle, tbh. And now possibly Michael Raymond-James.

I think Emilie de Ravin is a pretty terrible actress, and when a huge chunk of the plot revolves around her -- with Rumplestiltskin as the Beast (because, of course) -- it's just not a good reason for me to be watching.
