Those sound more like honest confusion than trying to deny something. Like from people who just watch the show and don't read meta on it. It's the type of sexism that's frighteningly easy to miss. I would have, if I hadn't read fandomsecrets.

....It is? I started squirming in The Impossible Astronaut during her conversation with Rory, and I'm really not a meta person nor had I been in any kind of contact with fandom at the time. Hell, I'm actually usually incredibly blind when it comes to SJ issues or unfortunate implications.
