I actually am aware that I do it and I try to edit myself, but for some reason, I've kind of gotten to the point where I use 'lol' as a meaningless sentence filler, like some people use "like" (actually I use "like" a lot too) or "so". It's a really weird habit that I don't do consciously.

Ugh, I'm still blaming Eddie Izzard for my horrible addiction to the word "so".
