Re: Job Thread
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 02:49 am (UTC)(link)On the other hand, my dept. manager doesn't seem to realize that the reason I'm behind on my stupid daily training things is because 1) they assigned them without taking into account my days off, 2) one got delayed by a day because the coworker I was with that day couldn't sign off on it, 3) I missed a couple days because I was sick thanks to everybody else who brings in their kids' various diseases, and 4) working the department alone while the spring/summer selling season ramps up means I have very little time to go off and do my own thing. So now he wants me to finish the 4+ training assignments I have overdue by the end of the day on Tuesday, and I'm just going to end up asking one of the store managers if they'd rather I spend ~3 hours in the training room, finishing things I know how to do already, or be on the floor during the week we're supposed to be filling a huge sale quota. Our department is barely staffed and the only reason it's doing better in sales than it was is because I got hired for it in the first place, so I'm not sure what my dept. manager expects to accomplish by putting me out of commission for a few hours :|a
