As someone who lived in Japan then and still lives there now, this comic pisses me off on a level that could only be depicted in animation because it breaks the rules of physics.

I don't fucking care if it's supposed to be *poking fun* at other people, what happened in Japan was a fucking disaster on a scale so large that mighty "first-world"(in quotes because this classification is outdated bullshit) Japan wasn't fucking prepared for it.

Exactly. I thought it was extremely offensive. Even if people were whining about their precious anime, the fact remains that she still made light of a disaster. And the fact that other people in this thread are also making light of it because ~Japan is a first world country and should be able to handle it~ is just a bit unpleasant on its own. Being a ~first world country~ means jack shit when a disaster happens.
