Re: Breast reduction?

mmmm not really, sorry. :/ I did lose the ability to breast feed, but they took all that they could out of there, and I'm still a C. Mostly it's because they remove all of the fat(ty tissue? I don't completely remember) but they leave the other things, otherwise it would be a far more complex procedure, and they'd have to do a lot more internal stitching and what not. At least, that's what my physician said. Admittedly, I've dumbed it down a little, because it has been a year, so I don't remember exactly what he said, but. Yeah. ^^;

Though, if you go as small as removing all the non-essentials, you'll probably have to get the grafted on areola (sp?) and nipple, so you will lose it either way.

You do. That doctor was out of line, especially if you told him (or her) you had back pain.

I'd also urge you to go to your regular doctor (or a new one, if those two doctor's are one and the same), and talking about your back pain, making a log of it, and keeping track in a notebook or something. Log all the times you've had back pain & how it effects your life, all the time you've had to have something done to your back to make you feel better (massages or medication, or whatever), and keep your doctor informed of this. Also, log when you have to take pain medication for your back.

If you do that, your doctor should be able to refer you to a surgeon (if you have insurance? Do you have health insurance?) and if they refuse to, get another doctor/surgeon, and the official surgeon should be willing to help you out, as they should have more knowledge of the problems a large chest can cause.

Also, if you keep a log, you should be able to get your insurance (if you have some) to pay for it super easily. I know my surgeon looked at my G's, and called the insurance agency up right away, and basically said "you need to pay for this, it's for health, not elective reasons", and then they were willing to pay for it. I did have to tell them about what I did to make the back pain go away, though, hence the log.

I hope that made sense, and I hope you find a better doctor!

Thank you! :)
