YMMV, but for me, that sealed the deal. Character conflict makes for a rounded person instead of an unchanging 2D ideal.

Who knows what the OP thinks about it, though!

That was my take on it as well - I think it's impressive that her friendship with Aoi and her faith in the others eventually outweighed the importance of preserving her family's dojo. If she had just resisted temptation from the very beginning, I think her character would have been kind of flat. I really liked that in the end she had a very difficult choice to make and made the best decision she could, even though it had to be painful. It showed a lot of emotional strength, which imo nicely complemented her physical strength and kept her from being a "lol beast girl" caricature.
