Personally, I want to know where people keep getting the idea that 'canon ships' or even ships that just have a lot of subtext are somehow superior to non-canon ones. : / I'd also love to know why people insist that history makes things 100% canon all the time, but that's another story.

As for Hima...I always kind of assumed that he wasn't really aiming to ship anyone since...Well. Most of his stuff just *isn't* romantic.

Isn't Germany/N.Italy and Austria/Hungary pretty much canon, though?
