House was lucky. Not because he was a genius but because he had Cuddy and Wilson. Any other hospital would have chucked him out long ago with a, "Yeah, you're not worth it." Doesn't matter how smart he was.

I don't think he would exist IRL, I've worked in hospitals for over 20 years and House is a load of rubbish, there's just no way doctors can get away with behaving like him, and experimenting with patients, using such strong treatments without evidence, etc etc.
