The obvious solution is to tell f!s what trope (or tropes) it is that you go for and await recs.

exactly. I'm sure we can come to your rescue...

Um, I dunno.

Tropes that are complimentary to each other? I like opposites tropes attracting (taller/shorter, flamboyant/cold, good/bad, ect)? You can virtually make any couple "opposites" in some way. I like friendship tropes. I like vulnerability/character flaw tropes and even contrary tropes.

It really helps if characters have a history together, like friends or co-workers or enemies, but whatever, man.

I'm a mess, hold me f!s ;_;

The first thing that comes to mind off the top of my head is Tom/Hal from BH UK. They definitely fit the opposites bit, although they don't have an established relationship going into things. Hal/Cutler from BH might also be something you enjoy, since they've definitely got the history going on. Sadly, the fandom isn't super active (although I haven't checked it in awhile...) and the show just ended, but they definitely fit the criteria.

Other than that, what sort of media do you tend to prefer? Live action, animated, different genres? And do you prefer m/m, m/f, or f/f pairings, or are you down with whatever? I'm trying to come up with some more couples here, but I think I need to stew for a bit.

M/M, live-action, comicbooks...

Sorry I wasn't specific. But I'm down with whatever, man. Thanks so much for your suggestions, I'll be lurking TV Tropes in the future to find something hopefully. :)

come to the Vikings fandom. Our OTP (or OT3 depending) features a tall manly man Viking and his sweet, scrawny little monk slave. And if you go the OT3 route add in a ferocious Viking lady.

I think I need to watch this show.
