If you had to start completely over in a new country, which one?

[personal profile] anonymouslyyours 2013-04-17 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Assuming once you're there you don't know anyone, don't speak the language, and have only a few thousand in cash to your name.

In a completely unrelated matter is anyone from not-continental U.S. looking for a roommate?

jsyk this comment makes you sound like a douche, because you're implying that you understand nearly every language in the world.

Hm, I guess you're right. When I said "that crosses out a LOT of countries," I was referring to the list of countries that I want to start completely over in with thousands of dollars in cash on me. Unfortunately, not all countries in the world are safe right now for foreigners or even their own people. Otherwise I'd be in DRC right now, learning Kiswahili and hanging out with the bonobos.

You know some languages are spoken in more than one country?

Antarctica! I'd live among the penguins in my below ground snow home and handy parka.

I've already done this once, when I moved to Japan. It was okay. I'm thinking about moving somewhere in South America soon.

New Zealand. It's close to where I live now and I have friends there who could help me out while I fumble about.

Also, I speak New Zealand pretty well. ;D

Would the cash be on me, or would it be from an atm or...whatever? 'Cause that would really effect my decision.

And um...Somewhere in western Europe, probably? Most likely either the Netherlands or one of the nordic countries.

The Netherlands, France, Italy or Spain probably?

The one in least economic ruins at the moment I am moving, so I can find a job.

I almost moved to Spain with my mother last year actually...
