Not OP, but when would Hogwarts teachers have the time to become parents? They live at the school and presumably spend no time with any potential spouses other than other people on the staff. If McGonagall did have a child, when would she have the time to parent it?

To be fair, McGonagall and many others are beyond middle-aged in the films and could have taken up teaching when their theoretical children were older/adults. The teachers might have been younger in the books but someone else mentioned a possible solution for that downthread.
