I don't recall having seen any fics but now that you mention it, I really want to read some! (and it should be popular, the two of them are adorable!)

Quick scan of AO3, and there don't seem to be any Balin/Bilbo fics there, although I'm sure there's something in the kink meme. There's some Balin/Dwalin and Balin/Dori and a couple other random pairings, but Balin in any pairing seems pretty rare. From a book standpoint, it makes a lot of sense, and they interact enough in the film that it makes sense there too, so it's a shame it seems it's not being written much!

Oh man, I thought Balin/Bilbo would be quite popular (especially with people who've read the book too) but...nope. It's pretty much nonexistent.
