I think Taylor Swift probably has a good look for Eponine, but she doesn't have the singing chops required. That is not to say Taylor cannot sing, but Eponine needs a BIG BELTING VOICE. I think the producers went in the right direction in going with someone who's sung the part onstage. All of which has nothing to do with character and everything to do with not wanting the songs to sound horrible. There was no need for another Emmy Rossum-POTO debacle.
